United States Congress Enters 35 Articles of

Impeachment on President Bush

Justice Anthony Kennedy; “The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times.”

Resolved, that President George W. Bush be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate

Congressman Dennis Kucinich on Thursday entered into the House 35 Articles of Impeach on President George W. Bush. This comes as no surprise. I find it astonishing that something had not been brought forth earlier. The current Executive Branch Led by Georgia Bush or is it Dick Cheney. Never the less this current Executive Branch has run rough shod all over our Constitution. For the most part they have tried every effort to suspend the constitution. Justice Anthony Kennedy took the side of the Constitution..

Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the 5-4 high court majority, acknowledged the terrorism threat the U.S. faces — the administration’s justification for the detentions — but he declared, “The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times.”

Let there be no mistake I dislike the terrorist as much as the nest guy probably even more being that I am a United Stated Air Force Desert Storm Veteran serving a total of 9 yeas active duty, and an additional 5 years in-active.

The problem is when we start playing around with the Constitution, and at the same time we have legislation that passed through the House , and now resides in the Senate, S. 1959 which was previously Hr Bill 1955 which is so loosely worded it could easily be interpreted in such a way that it could be used to charge ordinary citizens exercising his/her free speech to voice his/her displeasure about the war or any other event taking place as a home grown terrorist. It certainly sends the wrong signals out, and certainly makes people a bit nervous. I feel that the wary feeling on all this a warranted. Never in my 46 years of being in this country have I seen the Constitution attacked so heavily. The Justice put it correctly saying that the constitution is able to stand under any circumstance. Why would they see a need to suspend it. The signal that is tried to be sent from the White house is that we are being protected, but it is certainly clear that they themselves are the very culprits eroding our freedoms, and disassembling a Great Nation.

Congress is not free from blame in this matter. They have at time failed to act in resistance or simple handed over an open check book while at the same time telling the American people they are tired of it, and make all sorts of noise as if they are going to do something, but nothing ever happens. They scream troops out, but continue to authorize billions. Face it folks we are broke. What is going to be interesting here is to see if congress hands the president a law he will certainly will be seeking in order to by-pass and go around the court ruling.

I feel that if we are not very careful we the American People are going to be snookered out of our most important inherent rights. Below I have listed the articles. I would enjoy your commentary or thoughts.
