Americas Realities Clarified (A.R.C)

Dr. Mark Taylor
I have honestly searched my inner self trying to justify the outrages we are seeing effected across our Nation. First we witness on National television the young man in Florida that was attending a John Kerry speaking engagement. It was pretty apparent to me that the police used unneeded force when they used a taser on him while being held down by a half dozen or more officers. Is there justification in tasing an individual that is restrained. How on earth did we ever get along before the taser.
As if this was not bad enough we have Bill Oreilly on his Fox “No Spin Zone” making a mockery out of it. Stooping to new levels of depravity by selling bumper stickers. In all his talks about being a no spin zone I am afraid it is the spinning that has caused his delirium.
We Americans are becoming far to complacent. We are being led to accept the unacceptable. As a result we have an incident in Orange county Florida where an 11 year old female with a learning disability was tasered by an officer. Will America accept this?
After covering the case we received some very alarming replies. Many felt it permissible to tase an 11 year old female.
It is reported that prior to that she had an altercation in which she pushed another student dangerously close to traffic. It is also reported that she became combative when later approached by the officer in the classroom.
The question that rings in my mind is how on earth did we manage before tasers. The female officer was struck in the nose before tasing the child. Would it not be prudent to place an officer that is physically capable in the policing of the schools. Considering all the actions by the child I cannot in clear conscience declare any incident below actual threat of life as permissible when it involves children.
You will hear many thoughts in defense of this officer. What we fail to see in all of this is that there is a precedence being set here.
Lets take a journey in time. We are all aware, and have to admit that we witnessed some very serious violations of civil rights enacted upon the black community during the last few decades. We accepted this. We have of late witnessed the civil rights violations of adults. We accepted that, and even accepted the morbid sense of humor of Bill Oreilly. Now we are faced with accepting the tasering of our children. Will America accept this? Then What? Please view the videos attached regarding this situation.

What dangers do we face in accepting this blatant violation of young Jimenez’s civil rights? The first and most obvious is the psychological impact on the victim herself. Them look at the fear this must instill in children. Should we be made to fear those we pay to protect , and serve? There is a stark difference in fear, and respect.
It endangers the lives, and safety of those good officers that lay their lives on the line daily. The bad apples generate hatred that can potentially be aimed at the undeserving good, and faithful public servants.
It is my opinion that there must be stricter psychological screening performed on those wishing to enter Law Enforcement. It is known that the power that comes with a badge tends to draw those seeking only power, and they are off, and running out off control. I have heard from officers some very alarming tales from the field. This is a classic case of “power being unchecked is dangerous”.
We have provided below a petition regarding this case. Take the time to read it. Then search your own heart, and decide if you will sign it. If we do not protect our children then who will? Also there is a video further covering this situation that has gained national attention. It received over 15000 views within 5 hours.
